One of the fundamental features of the Training Room is the incorporation of the latest techniques and methodologies that have been scientifically proven to produce beneficial results in multiple peer-reviewed studies, hitting all your muscle groups & encouraging active recovery.

The Training Room is more than just a HIIT workout class, this is a community of like-minded people who all share one goal, to live balanced and healthy lives that feature fitness and physical activity. Our Outdoor Club organises regular fitness-based excursions and take along anyone who wants to join us, from kayaking around the Palm Jumeirah to hiking in the mountains and wadis of Ras Al Khaimah.

Our experienced coaching team have earned prestigious qualifications to the post graduate level from some of the most notable sports and fitness universities in the world, with strength & conditioning coaching experience at the highest levels of sports and injury rehabilitation and prevention experience that includes physical rehabilitation with injured military veterans in the UK.

ELITE COACHES

A team of sport scientists program each class' workout.

A strength and conditioning specialist, Kris has led the Physical Training Company's successful youth development program for several years and has more than 12 years experience in coaching, including a stint at London Irish Rugby Club in the UK.

With a degree in Strength & Conditioning Science from St Mary's University in London, Kris has specialised with further accreditations including ASCC and UKSCA, he is also a certified as a sports nutritionist by the International Society of Sports.

The renowned host of the PTC Podcast, Keith is well known across Dubai for his highly approachable nature and general friendliness! Keith is often asked to appear on the radio to discuss issues that range from health & wellbeing to the various challenges going on in the Outdoor Club.

Specialising in injury rehabilitation, recovery and prevention, Keith has a undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the field, well complemented by over 12 years of experience that includes rehabilitation coaching for returning soldiers in the British Military.

The first thing I look forward to in the morning is the Training Room! This is a workout that is very effective and is only 45 minutes long, the best thing about it is the efficiency of the programming, it helps you develop strength, speed and stamina at the same time!

THE OUTDOOR CLUB

If you love the outdoors then you will love The Outdoor Club. Life shouldn't just be about HIIT classes and weight loss, there are other ways of getting your heart rate up while you burn calories! We organise regular fitness-based excursions that usually happen on Saturdays. Activities range from hiking the mountain trails of Ras Al Khaimah to kayaking around Palm Jumeirah.

MOUNTAIN BIKING & HIKING

Mountain biking and hiking on mountain trails in Ras Al Khaimah are great ways to improve your fitness and stamina. Recently we have started to include overnight camping in our trips.

KAYAKING & SUP

Whether it is the mangroves of Abu Dhabi or kayaking around Palm Jumeirah, one of the activities our community enjoys the most is kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding!

TEAMS

Our online classes require minimal equipment and are conducted in real-time with active and dynamic coach participation.

This is a great way to fit in the workouts you need to achieve your goals in a hectic schedule. Online classes give you the added flexibility to workout at home, while you are traveling or when you just can't make it to the gym!

FUNCTIONAL TRAINING

Functional training focuses on building fitness that helps you in your daily life. This is a crucial aspect of fitness, helping you to build strength, power and mobility that translates way beyond the gym. Published research has shown functional training to be more effective in increasing athletic performance. We have incorporated functional training aspects in our training methodology, with multiple exercises dedicated to enhancing your mobility, stability as well as strength.

INJURY PREVENTION

You can only keep fit if you can keep active. Our modern lifestyles do not provide many opportunities to build the tendons and ligaments that help stabilise your major muscles and joints. Our workouts always include muscle activation and stabilisation exercises, as well as a warm-down stretch at the end of every class.

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING

Years of research has proven the efficacy of strength and conditioning exercises in improving the health and fitness of all age groups and fitness levels. The Journal of Strength & Conditioning Research focuses on publishing this research and includes older adults in the age groups that would benefit from incorporating regular strength and conditioning exercises in their weekly routine. Because of this, when training at the Training Room you will see noticeable improvements in your strength and stamina!

NUTRITIONAL AWARENESS

The most important change our members make is in their understanding of nutrition. We incorporate nutritional awareness in our training and focus on this with our members because it is what allows them to maximise the results that they see while training with the Training Room!
